每年, the Admission Office at the Prep reviews a highly competitive group of young men to fill approximately 235-240 spots available in our freshman class.

While the posted deadline for Class of 2028 applicants has passed, we still welcome late applicants. Please complete an application and pick a makeup testing date as soon as possible. Test dates are a question you have to answer on the application. For additional information, please email admissions@sjrep.org.

8th Grade Recommendation Form (Class of 2028)

Results from the Entrance Exam will be included with all admission decision materials. Acceptance decisions will be communicated on the afternoon of Wednesday, December 20, 2023. You will receive a physical notification on December 20th as well as an electronic update in your myPrep portal. The myPrep portal is the portal used when you applied the Prep.
Students in contention for any Academic/Merit 奖学金 & Awards that require interviews will be contacted in early December. Some Academic/Merit 奖学金 & Awards will be distributed with acceptance letters. Other awards—including all 金融援助 decisions—will be sent electronically to families approximately one week after acceptances are received (approximately on Wednesday, 12月27号, 2023). 预备入学考试
Once your application is submitted, all applicants must take the 预备入学考试, 星期六管理, 11月11日, 2023年或星期日, 11月12日, 2023. Prep使用H.S.P.T. (High School Placement Test). Students will also be required to complete an essay at the conclusion of the Entrance Exam. The exam and essay will last three hours.

When reviewing candidates, the Admission Committee will consider your entire Admission file.
Your Admission file includes, but is not limited to:- Your strong desire to receive a Jesuit education rooted in Ignatian spirituality
- Your score on the Entrance Exam
- Your thoughtfulness, ability to reflect, and creativity on your Entrance Exam essay

- Your history of leadership in clubs/activities/athletics/service projects/etc.

All applicants should strive to achieve mostly "A" grades (or comparative numerical scores) in his 6th and 7th grade final report cards and 8th grade first report card, receive an outstanding recommendation from his teacher(s), and receive a satisfactory score on the Entrance Exam. -

Admission decision letters for the Class of 2028 will be delivered on Wednesday, December 20, 2023. An electronic version of the decision will be uploaded to the applicant's myPrep portal as well. 对于那些申请援助的人, 金融援助 decision letters will be emailed on Wednesday, 12月27号, 2023.注意: Admission decision letters and 金融援助 decision letters are sent separately.

Your most recent report card for 8th grade should be uploaded once it’s available and not later than 2023年12月15日，星期五. If nothing is available by December 15, it will NOT change the timeline of an applicant's decision as long as all other required materials have been received.
